NOTE ON NEWBORN ANIMAL CARE: Ideally, every newborn animal should receive fresh colostrum from its own mother. Colostrum is the first milking from the mother following birth, providing nutrients, growth factors, and immune globulin proteins that are crucial to the health and growth of the newborn. Colostrum must be fed as soon as possible after birth for maximum absorption of maternal antibodies in the newborn. If maternal colostrum is not available, substitute fresh cow or goat colostrum, or use Ultra Start® Multi Colostrum Supplement according to label directions.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Please see the table in the pictures for specific mixing and feeding directions for each animal. Use the plastic scoop enclosed in the bag to measure the Ultra Start® Multi powder (holds approximately 1 dry ounce), and a standard measuring cup (8 fluid ounces) to measure water. Add the powder to warm (105°-110° F) water and mix thoroughly with a wire whisk. For best results, give the first feeding of Ultra Start® Multi solution as soon as possible after birth and continue feeding as directed for the first 24 hours of life. If you animal is more than 24 hours old, provide 1 to 2 feedings of Ultra Start® Multi as directed, then mix 50:50 with prepared milk replacer for 1 to 3 additional feedings before changing to all milk replacer.

IMPORTANT - Every animal is an individual. Adjust the amounts fed according to the newborn’s birth weight, the environmental conditions, and the amount of maternal colostrum available. If you have questions about nutrition requirements please consult with your veterinarian or animal nutritionist.

STORAGE - Refrigerate unused Ultra Start® Multi solution promptly after mixing. Reheat gently over warm water and mix thoroughly before feeding. Do not microwave or freeze the solution. Discard any unused refrigerated Ultra Start® Multi solution after 24 hours. Store dry Ultra Start® Multi powder in a tightly closed, waterproof container in a cool, dry place. Use within 12 months of manufacture wherever possible. Dry powder may be sealed in a waterproof, airtight container and stored in the freezer to extend shelf life.
